Privacy Policy for URLSweep
Last updated: October 16, 2026
URLSweep is a Chrome extension developed by GetPickAds. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. What the Extension Does on Your Device
URLSweep helps you build a list of URLs, filter and preview matches, then submit temporary URL removal (or clear cached URL) requests in Google Search Console Removals using your own signed-in browser session.
URL lists, filters, removal queues, and usage counters are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB / chrome.storage). They are not uploaded to GetPickAds servers.
When you fetch a sitemap, the extension requests host access only for that site origin and parses the sitemap in your browser.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you choose to sign in with Google for Premium, we may receive and store information such as your email address or account identifier.
We use this information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Associate your Premium subscription with your account
- Provide Premium entitlement, billing portal access, cancellation, and account-related functionality
You can import URLs and run Free removals (subject to the Free per-property limit) without creating a GetPickAds account. Sign-in is only required to buy or restore Premium.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
URLSweep does not intentionally collect or transmit:
- URL lists, filter expressions, or removal queue contents
- Search Console property names, resource IDs, or performance / indexing report rows
- Payment card numbers (payments are handled by the payment provider)
- Precise location information
4. What Leaves Your Device
Removal submissions you start run in your Google Search Console tab, using your own signed-in Google session, as if you used Removals yourself.
If you sign in and subscribe to Premium, account and entitlement checks go to GetPickAds APIs, and payments are processed by Dodo Payments on its checkout pages under its own privacy policy.
Anonymous product analytics may be sent (for example install, plan, feature used, size buckets, extension version) with a random install identifier. Never URLs, property names, or Search Console report contents.
5. Browser Permissions and Local Processing
The extension uses Chrome permissions such as storage, sidePanel, alarms, notifications, identity, and scripting so it can remember local queues and settings, open the side panel, schedule reminders, refresh Premium status, and sign you in if you choose to buy or restore Premium.
Host access to search.google.com is used so the Removals helper can run on the Search Console Removals page with your session.
Optional host access to http(s)://*/* is requested only when you import a sitemap from a site you choose.
googleapis.com access is reserved for optional Premium Connect features when enabled; URLSweep does not upload URL lists to Pick Ads for that flow.
6. Third-Party Services
Google Sign-In may be used when you voluntarily authenticate for Premium checkout or to restore an existing Premium subscription.
Google Search Console processes removal requests under Google’s terms and privacy policies when you use Removals.
Payment information is processed by Dodo Payments. URLSweep does not intentionally collect or store users’ full payment card information.
Limited anonymous usage events may be processed by our analytics provider according to its privacy practices.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the extension and its associated services.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
Account information is retained for as long as necessary to provide account and Premium functionality or as required for legitimate business and legal purposes.
Local URL lists, queues, and free usage counters remain in your browser until you delete local data in the extension, clear extension storage, or uninstall.
You can sign out to stop using your GetPickAds account in the extension.
9. Your Choices
Free plan: upload, paste, or sitemap import; unlimited filter and preview; up to 20 completed removals per Search Console property without signing in.
Premium unlocks unlimited removals and CSV status reports (and additional features when shipped).
You may choose whether to sign in with Google or subscribe to Premium. You can cancel Premium at period end from Account in the extension.
You can remove the extension or clear its storage in Chrome’s extension settings.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
