Privacy Policy for GSC Index
Last updated: October 16, 2026
GSC Index is a Chrome extension developed by GetPickAds. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. What the Extension Does on Your Device
GSC Index helps you collect page URLs and request indexing from Google Search Console’s Inspect URL screen, using your own signed-in browser session.
The URL list, report, activity log, and free-submit count are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). They are not uploaded to GetPickAds servers.
When you scan a page, a URL, or a sitemap, the extension reads that page or sitemap in your browser.
2. Information We Collect
The URL list is not uploaded. Sign-in is only for Premium.
If you sign in with Google or buy GSC Index Premium ($9.99/month or $99.90/year), we may receive and store:
- Your Google account email, so the subscription and the one-time welcome email can be tied to you
- Subscription status for Premium (not your URL list)
- Anonymous product counts (install, panel open, indexing requested, checkout). These do not include URLs or Search Console property names. You can turn this off in Account.
- Feedback you choose to send, including the message and an optional email
Free scan, review, Check on Google, and 5 indexing requests do not require a GetPickAds account.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
GSC Index does not intentionally collect or transmit:
- The URL list, CSV report, or activity log
- Search Console property contents, inspection results, or performance data
- Payment card numbers (payments are handled by the payment provider)
- Precise location information
4. What Leaves Your Device
Indexing requests you start run in your Google Search Console tab, using your own signed-in Google session, as if you clicked Request indexing yourself.
A sitemap or page scan is fetched in the browser for the site you choose. Those URLs stay in extension storage.
Sign-in, entitlement checks, checkout, and optional feedback go to GetPickAds APIs. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments on its checkout pages under its own privacy policy. Anonymous product counts are sent through GetPickAds to PostHog. The URL list is not included.
5. Browser Permissions and Local Processing
The extension uses Chrome permissions such as storage, sidePanel, scripting, activeTab, identity, and alarms so it can remember the local queue, sign in with Google, and refresh Premium.
Host access to search.google.com is used so Inspect URL → Request indexing can run on the Search Console tab with your session. Host access to api.getpickads.com is used for sign-in, Premium, and feedback.
Optional host access to http(s)://*/* is requested only when you scan a page, a URL, or a sitemap.
6. Third-Party Services
Google Search Console processes inspection and indexing requests under Google’s terms and privacy policies when you use Inspect URL.
Payment information, if you buy Premium, is processed by Dodo Payments. GSC Index does not intentionally collect or store full payment card information.
Google handles the sign-in screen. PostHog receives anonymous product counts only, with URLs and property names removed.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the extension and its associated services.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
The local URL list, report, and free-submit count remain in your browser until you clear the queue, clear extension storage, or uninstall.
If you later create an account for Premium, that account information is retained for as long as necessary to provide billing or as required for legitimate business and legal purposes.
9. Your Choices
Free plan: scan, import, and review the full list, check which URLs are already on Google, and submit 5 indexing requests on this browser.
Premium ($9.99/month or $99.90/year) is for submitting the rest of the list. Indexing remains Google’s decision.
You can remove the extension or clear its storage in Chrome’s extension settings.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
