Bulk remove URLs

Search Console Removals is one URL at a time. How to do that by hand, and how URLSweep queues a reviewed list.

Removals vs noindex vs 410

A temporary removal, a noindex directive, and an HTTP 410 do different jobs. Use the one that matches how long the URL should stay gone.

Hacked pages

Clean the hack on the server first. Then request temporary removals for the spam URLs that are still in results.

After you delete pages

Deleted pages can stay in Google until they are recrawled. Return 410, then remove the leftovers that are still showing.

Clear cached snippets

Clearing a cached URL is not the same as hiding the result. When to use each Search Console control.
