Best Ways to Bulk Request Indexing in Google Search Console

By the Pick Ads team · Tested on Chrome · Published October 20, 2026 · Updated October 20, 2026

Verdict: For most sites, a clean sitemap plus Request indexing for your most important changed URLs is enough. If you have more changed URLs than you want to click through, a Chrome extension can queue Search Console's own Request indexing button for you. The Indexing API only fits job posting and livestream pages. No tool raises Google's daily limit.

We make GSC Index.

Choose… if…

  • Choose the manual way if you have a handful of URLs. It's free and official.
  • Choose the Indexing API only if your pages carry JobPosting markup or are livestreams. Google built it for that purpose.
  • Choose Rank Math's plugin if you run WordPress, your content is eligible for the Indexing API, and you want submissions to happen when you publish. Note that WordPress.org says it hasn't been tested with the latest three major releases.
  • Choose Wizweb's extension if you want a free Chrome queue with CSV import and export, and you don't need a sitemap scan.
  • Choose GSC Index if you want to scan a page or sitemap, check which URLs are already on Google, and request only the rest, with the list kept locally.

Manual

In URL Inspection, inspect the URL and click Request indexing. The page goes into the queue if it passes a quick check. There's a daily limit, and for many URLs Google recommends a sitemap (URL Inspection tool). See the indexing request limit.

Indexing API

The Indexing API can only be used for pages with JobPosting, or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject. Google runs spam detection on submissions and says abuse, including using several accounts to get around the quota, can lead to revoked access. The default quota is 200 publish requests per day per project. See GSC Index vs Indexing API.

WordPress plugins

Rank Math's Instant Indexing for Google sends Indexing API requests when you publish or update a post, and it also supports IndexNow. Its listing quotes Google's job and livestream recommendation but says the plugin "works on any type of website". Google's own documentation limits the API to eligible pages. For IndexNow's role, see IndexNow vs Google Request Indexing.

Other Chrome extensions

Wizweb's Google Search Console – Bulk URL Indexing Tool automates the Inspect URL → Request Indexing flow in your own browser. It imports CSV or TXT files, exports a CSV report, and stops when Google's quota is reached. Its listing says it doesn't use a private API or get around Google's limits.

GSC Index

GSC Index scans a page, a list, or a sitemap. You review the list, run Check on Google (this doesn't use a request), and then request indexing for URLs that aren't on Google yet. Each run stops when Search Console reports the daily limit. Free covers 5 requests on this browser. Premium keeps the queue going across days. Where it falls short: it needs an open Search Console tab, and each inspection can take about a minute.

Red flags

  • Guaranteed indexing. Google says it doesn't guarantee crawling, indexing, or serving for any page (How Google Search works).
  • Paid "indexers." Google doesn't accept payment to crawl a site more often.
  • Using the Indexing API for ordinary pages, or rotating accounts to get more quota. Google explicitly warns against both.
  • Tools that ask for your Google password. Tools that work through the browser use your existing Search Console session instead.

How to choose

  1. Fix pages and sitemaps first.
  2. Count how many changed URLs really matter.
  3. A few URLs: do it manually. Many URLs: use a browser queue that runs over several days. Eligible job or livestream pages: use the Indexing API.

FAQ

Do any tools raise Google's quota? No. Browser extensions click the same Request indexing button you would, so Search Console's daily limit applies to them too. The Indexing API has its own quota of 200 publish requests per day by default, but only for eligible pages. Google warns that using extra accounts to get around quotas can lead to revoked access.

Are they against Google's rules? Google restricts the Indexing API to job posting and livestream pages and runs spam detection on submissions. We found no Google documentation about browser tools that automate Search Console's own screens. (Checked 2026-10-20.) Use them within Google's limits.

Is it safe to give a tool access? Check what a tool asks for before installing it. Browser extensions work in your signed-in Search Console tab. API tools need a service account key that you manage yourself. Read each listing's privacy disclosure, and avoid any tool that asks for your Google password or promises guaranteed indexing.

What is the free option? Submit an accurate sitemap in Search Console, then request indexing by hand for a few important URLs. Free extensions can queue those requests for you. GSC Index Free includes 5 requests on this browser, and its Check on Google step doesn't use any of them.
