Tab Rotator

Privacy Policy for Tab Rotator

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Tab Rotator is a Chrome extension developed by GetPickAds. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you choose to sign in with Google, we may receive and store information such as your email address or account identifier.

We use this information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Associate your Premium subscription with your account
  • Provide Premium entitlement, billing portal access, and account-related functionality

Local settings and playlists

Playlists, rotation settings, schedules, and similar configuration are stored in your browser. Playlist items may include the web addresses you add for rotation.

If you enable cloud sync, remote configuration, or Google Admin policy, that configuration (including playlist URLs you saved) may be stored on our servers or fetched from a URL you specify so the same screens can be managed across devices.

Usage and interaction data

We may collect limited usage and interaction data from the extension interface (the popup) to understand how the product is used and to improve reliability.

If you enable screen monitoring (heartbeat), the extension periodically reports that a named screen is online and rotating. Heartbeat is designed not to send playlist URLs or page titles.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Tab Rotator does not intentionally collect or transmit:

  • Your full browsing history
  • Passwords or authentication credentials for the sites you rotate
  • Payment card numbers (payments are handled by the payment provider)
  • Precise location information
  • The contents of the pages you display, except as needed locally in your browser to show a slide or apply a display setting you turned on

Core rotation works from the tabs or playlist URLs you choose on this device. You can rotate tabs without creating an account.

3. Browser Permissions and Local Processing

The extension uses Chrome permissions such as access to tabs, storage, alarms, and identity so it can rotate tabs, remember settings, keep a display awake while rotating, and sign you in if you choose to.

Optional permissions (for example running a script on pages you show, or observing navigations) are requested only when you enable features that need them, such as auto-scroll, hiding the cursor, or reloading error pages.

Website content may be processed locally in your browser for those features. Local processing is necessary for Tab Rotator’s core functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

The extension may use third-party services for authentication, subscription management, configuration, analytics, or other necessary functionality.

Google Sign-In may be used when you voluntarily choose to authenticate with Google.

Payment information is processed by the applicable payment provider. Tab Rotator does not intentionally collect or store users’ full payment card information.

If analytics services are enabled (including Microsoft Clarity on the extension popup), limited usage information and interactions with the popup interface may be processed according to the applicable service provider’s privacy practices. Session recordings of the popup may include what is visible there, such as account email if you are signed in and tab titles shown in the rotator home screen.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the extension and its associated services.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as necessary to provide account and Premium functionality or as required for legitimate business and legal purposes.

Synced configuration, heartbeat, and usage data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the extension.

You can remove local data by uninstalling the extension. You can sign out to stop using your GetPickAds account in the extension.

7. Your Choices

You can use Tab Rotator’s core tab-rotation functionality without signing in.

You may choose whether to sign in with Google, subscribe to Premium, enable cloud sync, remote configuration, or screen monitoring.

You can change the extension language in Settings. That preference is stored locally in your browser and is not required for rotation.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

9. Contact
