How to Download All Images From a Webpage in Chrome

By the Pick Ads team · Tested on Chrome · Published October 20, 2026 · Updated October 20, 2026

Answer: Chrome can save a page with its images using Save page as, and DevTools can list every image file the page loaded. Neither gives you a clean folder of full-size images. Scroll the whole page first so lazy-loaded images load, then save. An extension such as Product Image Downloader can collect the images into one ZIP.

Quick steps

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page so every image loads.
  2. Use Save page as (built-in), or open DevTools > Network > Img.
  3. For a single ZIP, open Product Image Downloader in the side panel and click Download (ZIP).

Before you start

  • Time: 2–10 minutes per page.
  • You need: Chrome on a computer and the right to use the images (see the rights note below).
  • Free vs Premium: downloading images is free with no daily limit. Premium adds videos and other extras.

Method 1: Chrome's built-in tools

Save page as

  1. Open the page and scroll to the bottom so lazy-loaded images appear.
  2. Open the Chrome menu (More) > Cast, save, and share > Save page as... (Chrome Help).
  3. In the Save dialog, choose the format that saves the full page with its files .
  4. Click Save. Chrome writes an HTML file plus a folder of page resources.
  5. Open that folder and sort by size to find the images.

Limits: the folder mixes images with scripts, styles and icons. You get the image files the page used for your screen, which may not be the largest version. CSS background images may not be in a predictable place.

DevTools Network panel

  1. Press F12 (or Cmd+Option+I on Mac) to open DevTools, then select the Network tab.
  2. Click the Img filter (Network features reference).
  3. Reload the page, then scroll to the bottom.
  4. Each row is an image file the page actually loaded. Click a row to preview it, or open it in a new tab and use Save image as... .

Limits: you save files one at a time. This is accurate but slow for more than a handful of images.

Method 2: With Product Image Downloader

Product Image Downloader recognizes product pages on Amazon, Shopee, Etsy, AliExpress and Shopify stores. On other websites it switches to "all images on this page".

  1. Install the extension and open the page.
  2. Click the extension icon. The list opens in Chrome's side panel.
  3. If Chrome asks for site access, click Allow. The extension asks one site at a time.
  4. Review the detected images.
  5. Click Download (ZIP), or save individual files.

Why images are missing

CauseWhat's happeningFix
Lazy loadingImages with loading="lazy" load only when you scroll near them (MDN: Lazy loading)Scroll to the bottom before saving, then wait a few seconds
srcsetThe browser picks one file from several widths based on screen size and pixel density (MDN: Responsive images)You got the size chosen for your screen. A wider window or zoom can load a larger file.
Images inside carouselsHidden slides may not load until shownClick through the gallery once
Login or region wallsThe page shows different content to you than to othersSign in first, if you're permitted to

Formats: WebP and JPG

Many sites serve WebP because it compresses better than JPEG or PNG (MDN image format guide). Shopify, for example, serves WebP or AVIF to browsers that support them (Shopify Help). Chrome's built-in methods save the file as the server sent it. Product Image Downloader saves as JPG by default, or PNG. JPEG has no transparency, so use PNG for images with transparent areas. Details: save WebP images as JPG or PNG.

Rights note

Being able to download an image doesn't give you the right to reuse it. Use these methods for your own listings, media your supplier allows you to use, and research. Product photos belong to their owners. Read product image copyright before you republish anything.

Troubleshooting

  1. Only thumbnails downloaded. The page loaded small srcset versions. Open the image in a new tab to check its size, or use the extension on a recognized store page, where it requests the sharpest size the site offers.
  2. Chrome asks to allow multiple downloads. Allow it for that site, or choose the ZIP option.
  3. "Report this page". If a supported store page isn't detected, use Report this page in the panel or email support@getpickads.com.
  4. Nothing happens on a page. Check that site access was allowed for that site.

What the extension does not do

  • It doesn't grant reuse rights, remove watermarks, or bypass logins or paywalls.
  • It can't download images the page never loads or links to.
  • On unrecognized sites, results depend on the page's layout ("all images on this page" mode).
  • Free has no daily limit for core image downloads. Premium ($4/month or $40/year) adds product videos, square 1:1 images on white, custom file names and CSV export of links, per getpickads.com, 2026-10-20.

Privacy note

Per the product page, pages and browsing history stay on your device, and site access is requested only when you allow it. See the privacy policy for details.

FAQ

Can I get the full-size image? Sometimes. A page often loads a smaller srcset version sized for your screen. On recognized store pages, Product Image Downloader requests the sharpest size the site offers. On other pages you get what the page provides. Check the pixel size by opening the image in its own tab.

Why are some images tiny? They're usually thumbnails, icons or srcset versions picked for a small viewport. Scroll the page fully, widen the window, then save again. On Shopify and other stores, open the product gallery first so the larger images load.

Can it save background images? Chrome's DevTools Network panel shows background images under the Img filter, and you can save them one by one. Whether Product Image Downloader's "all images on this page" mode includes CSS background images is being confirmed with our team. Check this guide's update date.

Does it convert WebP? Yes, according to the Chrome Web Store listing: images are saved as JPG by default, or PNG, including WebP and AVIF sources. JPEG has no transparency, so choose PNG for logos or cut-out product shots. Chrome's own Save image as keeps the original format.
